CYSTIC FIBROSIS BENEFIT
Guests enjoyed a luau-themed benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recently at the rural Gustine home of Anthony and Charlotte Peters. The event, attended by approximately 300 people, raised more than $40,000 for the fight against cystic fibrosis. Eight-year-old Skyler Edwards, the Peters’ granddaughter and daughter of Natalie and Jonathan Flanagan and Justin Edwards, suffers from the disease. The family has held a number of benefits for the foundation. Family members are also participating in the Great Strides walk for the foundation Saturday in Merced. Community members wishing to support that effort may visit the Team Aponi link on the Great Strides web site.
