There were more comments from the community that were not mentioned. I believe there are a lot of concerned parents who don’t know or even care about status but about the changes that have happened and made the children’s education worse. Like the new math program that was a needed change but so quickly and unprofessionally that all the students suffered. All the changes have been horrible for the students in the school district.
I surely haven’t seen Mr DiConza at any school board meetings before this school year so to stand up and say that all the parents complaints are for status he needs to sit and keep quiet. The changes parents are complaining about have been going on for more than 5 years so why not listen before making any remarks about change. (It sounds like someone is kissing a bit of rear to look better. That to me looks like status improvement on his part!)
The best question that was presented at the board meeting was the last question from the community “DO WE HAVE PERMITS TO OCCUPY THAT OLD MIDDLE SCHOOL?” Cheers to that parent who really cares about change.

sounds like it is time for a new REVAMP of school board members. Sounds like they only sit on the board for “Currently, trustees have the option of receiving health benefits valued
at approximately $13,000 a year, or taking a $240 monthly stipend –
which works out to about $2,900 annually.” Sounds like they haven’t cared for the best interest of the children for years.(MAYBE THEY CARE ONLY FOR THEIR KIDS WHEN THEY WERE ENROLLED @ GUSD) So they should be gone. Especially all ones that keep keep mentioning that this is a business and we run it like one. Well your business should close for how it has been running for the last 5 yrs. There is only 1 board member who should stay for she follows proper protocol. She earns her insurance/$240 monthly stipend. I would like to see they rest go. We need CHANGE!

Gustinecitizen, if you, or someone you know, has been arrested for DUI on a stop that you beleive did not have probable cause, I urge you to argue that in court and, if found factual, you will have the charges dismissed or be found innocent. If, on the other hand, you were a sober designated driver and were stopped and not cited for any violation, I urge you to take up the particulars with the chief and file a formal complaint. Notice that I said designated “sober” driver? A designated driver is not the one who has had the least to drink.
