The month of May was busy, fun-filled and exciting for the Newman FFA chapter.

The month started out with the Newman FFA’s awards banquet held May 8, where several scholarships and awards were presented, the outgoing officers were retired and new officers elected and installed.

The chapter held a plant sale which started May 11. The successful fund-raiser was a benefit for the schools plant science pathway.

Newman FFA held an Ag Day at the Farm on May 21, during which elementary students visited Orestimba to learn about the various aspects of agriculture through a variety of displays and activities.

Later that day, Newman FFA’s livestock exhibitors invited family and friends to see the animals housed at the school farm.

Newman FFA members enjoyed a great month and school year, and are excited to see what next year has in store.
