Gustine High seniors receiving the state Seal of Biliteracy were recognized at a rally late in the school year.

GUSTINE - A number of senior awards were presented at the Gustine High “walk-out” rally Friday afternoon, May 28.

The following were among honors presented.

Valedictorian and salutatorian honors were presented to Trenton Cremeen and Emery Fulgueras, respectively.

Cremeen and Tianah Vitorino were presented scholar-athlete awards.

The state Seal of Biliteracy recipients were announced. They include Jasmine Ayala, Lizbeth Ceja-Ocampo, Mariah Fajardo, Kandy Garcia, Julianna Gomez, Dayanarys Haro, Jesus Hernandez, Yadira Hernandez, Yajaira Hernandez, Cecilia Limon, Cesar Lopez, Alejandro Ortiz, Anezza Rodriguez, Sujey Salazar, Samantha Torres, Maria Guadalupe Tovar, Merelin Tovar, Diana Vega-Gamboa, Diego Velazquez and Irma Chan.

California Scholarship Federation life membership honors were announced as well. Seniors with CSF awards and graduating with a gold cord, meaning they earned CSF eligibility in at least four semesters from their sophomore through senior years, included Jasmine Ayala, Mariah Fajardo and Cecilia Limon.

Those graduating with lifetime membership and highest honors, indicative of earning CSF eligibility all six semesters from their sophomore through senior year, included Irma Chan, Emery Fulgueras, Yadira Hernandez, Yajaira Hernandez and Maria (Lupita) Tovar.

Seniors receiving AVID recognition included Jasmine Ayala, Lisette Corrales, Mariah Fajardo, Emery Fulgueras, Kandy Garcia Pena, Yadira Hernandez, Yajaira Hernandez, Anthony Herrera Noguez, Cecilia Limon, Giselle Martinez, Priscilla Morales, Velinas Ortiz Hernandez, Alejandro Ortiz Nunez, Jesus Ruvalcaba, Sujey Salazar, Alejandra Solis, Maria Tovar and Diego Velazquez.
