A dozen Newman FFA members recently attended the 92nd annual National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, Ind., where they convened with members and advisors from across the nation.
While in Indiana, members attended numerous conference sessions, heard keynote speakers, attended leadership workshops and visited career and college expositions.
The members also had the opportunity to tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Louisville Slugger Museum and the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs.
At the conclusion of the convention, the group flew to New York City, where they visited the 9/11 Memorial Museum, Liberty Island, Ellis Island, the Empire State Building and a variety of other educational and historical locations.
Overall, the students had a great time over their eight-day trip while learning more about the FFA, gaining valuable leadership and visiting historical landmarks.
Students attending included Reagan Marroquin, Jazmin Rodriguez, Nicole Flanders, Doreen Dyt, Natalie Velasquez, Victoria Vasquez, Ricardo Sequeira, Robert Shull, Diego Garcia, Marina Freitas, Lia Tristan and Seranden Keller. They were accompanied by advisors Stacey Costilla and Gino Farinelli.
