In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month this September, Rep. Josh Harder (CA-10) is launching his second annual Latino Leadership Awards. The award will honor a member of the Latino community for their contributions to the Central Valley.
Rep. Harder is inviting his constituents to nominate a Latino community member of any age or profession who has made a positive impact on the Valley.
Candidates must be of Latino heritage, live in the 10th Congressional District, and have contributed to the community in a way that has inspired others.
“The Latino community is a key thread in the fabric of the Valley – we should take Hispanic Heritage Month as an opportunity to recognize the contributions of so many wonderful Latino residents,” said Rep. Harder. “I encourage anyone who would like to honor a member of the community to make a nomination.”
Constituents who wish to nominate a member of the community may fill out a form and write a 100-250-word nomination describing why this community member should be recognized.
Nominations will be open to all until Aug. 29 and announced during Hispanic Heritage Month in September.
The nomination form can be found at https://harder.house.gov/Latino-Community-Leader.
