Julie Sandino and Rusty Areias (center) owners of the The Bird Ranch at San Luis Creek celebrated their official ribbon-cutting bright and early on Sunday during their wedding and special events fair. The 32-acre site in Gustine will be used as a boutique wedding and special events venue and as farm-stay. They’re also partnering with the Grassland Environmental Education Center and through that partnership they are able to give students an opportunity to learn about the various attributes of the property - from the blue heron rookery to the history of the San Luis Creek.
