Firefighters responding to a report of a fire on a Villa Manucha Road dairy Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 8, arrived to find several silage piles and a haystack on fire, officials reported. Crews working with the property owner were able to extinguish the fire. The loss was estimated at $3,000. The cause of the fire was determined to be from spontaneous combustion, West Stanislaus Fire Protection District Division Chief Keith Bowen reported.
