A single-vehicle accident toppled the service club sign greeting visitors at the northern Highway 33/140 entrance to Gustine last Friday morning. Police said the driver, identified as Adan Roman, 63, of Los Banos was westbound on Highway 140 in a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe when he drove through the intersection and collided with the sign. Authorities said the driver was not injured.
