Gustine Holstein brings top price at sale

“Teriland Marquis Tootsie,” a Gustine Holstein five year old cow consigned by Edward D. Terry, brought the top price among 31 registered Holstein animals sold at the 27th annual Merced County Holstein Sale Saturday at the Los Banos Fairgrounds. 

Terry’s cow was sold to Cotta and Martin of Dos Palos for $1,060. The average sale price of the 31 animals sold was $585.

Tony Borrelli, president od teh Merced Holstein Association and Dairy Leader of the Gustine 4-H Club, noted that the Gustine 4-H livestock Judging team won third place in judging competition. Team members were Carl Felch Richard Borrelli and Danan Rebelo.
