Walter McInnis of Tracy, secretary of the State Flood Control association, has announced that tomorrow, July 18 at 10 a.m. is the date and time set for a public hearing by the California State Reclamation Board to be held at the Modesto irrigation District Office.

Two years ago, farmers on both sides of rivers from Mossdale Bridge near Manteca to Hills Ferry Bridge near Newman were plagued with flood waters and subsequent seepage as well as related flooding problems.

The Reclamation Board, in consideration of the situation as it involved residents along the river, obtained the services of Los Banos Engineers Stoddard and Carr to delve into the problem and come up with suggestions for alleviation of the situation as well as to present their findings.
