Gustine FFA livestock exhibitors brought home a host of honors from the recent Spring Fair in Los Banos.

Following are livestock results as reported by leaders.


Genna Andrade earned top overall honors in the swine competition, showing the FFA champion light cross-bred, FFA champion and supreme champion market hog.

Jacob Salsa showed the champion Hampshire.

Jeffery Botelho showed the reserve champion all-other-breeds.

Patrick Broderick’s Hampshire was named reserve FFA champion for that breed.

Andrea Palomino, Madison Gomes and Stacy Oliveira each showed a first-place pig in their market class.

Second-place market hogs were shown by Shane Marin and Taylor Botelho.

Jessie Marquez, Jasmine Reynoso, Alexis Barnett and Hailey Medeiros each showed a third-place project.

Fourth-place finishes were recorded by Kayli Silveira, Clayton Alamo, Jasmine Montes and Kaitlyn Davis.

Abby Ruiz, Amanda Oliveira, Anisa Perry, Lalanie Brace and Megan Azevedo each showed a fifth-place pig.

Erika Hurtado placed seventh with her pig; Ryanne Kuden, Jacqueline Galindo and Roxana Araiza each showed an eighth-place market hog and Janai Navarro placed ninth with her animal.

Swine showmanship

Alamo placed fourth in showmanship, Andrade was sixth and Taylor Botelho finished eighth. Marin was eighth in novice showmanship. Perry, Medeiros, Salsa, Galindo, Montes and Araiza each advanced to the showmanship finals.


Javier Haro showed the supreme champion replacement heifer.

John Toste Jr. showed the champion grade dairy heifer and was third in advanced showmanship.

David Wilson was first and Dayanarys Haro placed second in novice showmanship.

Gustine placed second as a chapter group.


Gannon Silva showed the reserve FFA champion and reserve supreme champion  and placed first overall in showmanship.

Bradley Garbez showed the reserve champion heavyweight.


Madison Woods showed the FFA and supreme grand champion lamb.

Aubrie Hazan showed the champion heavyweight.


Three FFA members showed rabbits at the fair. Logan Luker showed a fourth-place rabbit, Lucero Ponce placed with with his rabbit and JosiElena Gomez-Michaelec placed 10th with hers.
