GUSTINE - Two accidents occurred last week at the intersection of Highway 33 and Sullivan Road at the south edge of Gustine, police reported.

According to police, the first occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. Gustine Police Lt. Samuel Joseph said the accident occurred when semi truck driver John R. Joseph said Ortunorosales attempted to avoid a collision but the Avalanche struck the side of the truck trailer.

Joseph said Ortunorosales and three passengers in the Avalanche, identified as Cindy Cruz, 20, Celene Rosales, 24, and a 2-year-old child, all of Los Banos, were transported with injuries described as moderate.

Esteves was not injured, Joseph told Mattos Newspapers.
