To the editor:

The Gustine High School cheerleaders and booster club would like to thank everyone who supported our recent fund-raiser.

The cheerleaders held a drawing for some great prizes that included a weekend in Tahoe. Jason Addington won the grand prize of the Tahoe getaway. Chris Mitchell won the spa package, John Bettencourt won the massage and the the spirit pack went to Michael Bettencourt.

Again, the GHS cheerleaders and the cheerleader booster club appreciate everyone’s continued support.

I am the Cub Scout Day Camp Director for the West Side with the Boy Scouts of America. We recently held our “Scouting the Seven Seas” day camp at Bonita Elementary School.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who were involved in the Gustine Volunteer Fire Department’s 14th annual breakfast, which was held July 13.

Without the help of all these people, this breakfast would not be possible.

This is in response to the article in the West Side Index/Gustine Press-Standard of July 8 about the 95th birthday celebration for Alberta Kniebes.

I was in Alberta (Roberts) Kniebes second-grade class in 1942.
