A little bit about a lot of things:

• Seems awfully early....but Daylight Saving Time arrives this weekend, costing you that hour of sleep you theoretically “gained” last fall.

Adjusting to a time change always takes me a few days, but I do enjoy Daylight Saving Time (DST) and the extra hour of daylight that is offered in the evening.

• Shocked, floored.....and yes, speechless.

That pretty well sums up my immediate reaction to being named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Gustine Rotary Club during the Gustine Chamber dinner and dance Saturday evening.

• Still amazing, after all these years, at what new things one can find to see or do within about a two hour drive of the Central Valley.

Our most recent venture to the coast (and beyond, in this case) was another new adventure with a few pleasant surprises....

A little bit about a lot of things:

• Not so sure about this one.....the Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District board voted last week to authorize a $12,000-plus “public information” campaign to educate community members about the district’s success stories, how it handled proceeds from a 2000 bond campaign and the district’s current needs.
