OHS practices

Orestimba fall sport practices will begin Monday, Aug. 18, with all levels of football, volleyball, boys’ soccer, girls’ golf and cross-country practicing that day.

Student athletes interested in participating in any of the sports should have their sports physical completed prior to that day. Athletes who do not have a physical completed by that day will not be allowed to practice and may not be allowed to try out for the team at a later date.

Gustine youth football

Gustine Youth Football sign-ups are being held tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 p.m. at Perry’s Pizza.

Cost is $145 per player.

The program is open to boys and girls from Gustine, Santa Nella, Newman and the surrounding area.

Birth certificates are required for new players.

Practice starts Aug. 4.

Youth football camp

Gustine Youth Football will host a camp Aug. 1-2.

The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-14. Sessions meet each morning from 8 a.m. to noon.

Fee is $35 and includes a t-shirt.

Participants may sign up tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 p.m. at Perry’s Pizza.
