To the editor:

I am the Cub Scout Day Camp Director for the West Side with the Boy Scouts of America. We recently held our “Scouting the Seven Seas” day camp at Bonita Elementary School.

I would like to thank the people of Crows Landing for being so helpful, kind and patient with us.

We very much enjoyed the school facility, with its ample space and beautiful shade trees.

We heard nothing but good comments about what a nice facility it was, and how comfortable it is. Bonita truly is a beautiful school in which the community can take great pride.

I would also like to thank Earl Perez for allowing us to use a small area in his orchard for part of our camp that could not be done at the school.

Thank you for allowing us to take over the school for three days and putting up with us. We had 49 boys, in grades 2-5, who have a lot of happy memories to take with them.

We appreciate the help we got in making our camp a success.

Rebecca L. Long

Camp Director
