To the editor:

I was driving school bus when this young, thin, tall teacher started riding my bus as a coach.

He came here, if I am not mistaken, to teach at his first job.

I read the article a couple of weeks ago about Kerry McWilliams retiring (as a coach).

I was one of the people who rode many hours to and from games with him. As a bus driver I saw many faces of Mac.

First off, I will say he was a person who had good control over his teams, not just one but all of them. If you had a problem, you could talk to him and it was taken care of.

I never heard him yell or get angry with anyone. His coaching never interfered with raising his children or being with his wife Kathy.

If we stopped to eat and a child did not have any money, Mac saw to it that he ate something.

Mac, you will be missed by many.
