The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that left one man injured Sunday night in the outskirts of Newman.
The shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fisherman’s Bend mobile home park at 26836 River Road.
The first deputies to arrive at the scene found the man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was treated at the scene by emergency medical technicians and then taken to a local hospital.
Detectives remained at the scene for several hours. No other information regarding a suspect or motive has been released.
