Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision which occurred Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 29, at Highway 33 and Sherman Parkway at the north edge of Newman. According to Newman police, the collision occurred when Jacqueline Lara, 26, of Sacramento, who was driving a 2019 Toyota Corolla southbound on Highway 33, attempted to make a left turn onto Sherman Parkway but pulled into the path of a northbound 2009 Mini-Cooper driven by Maritza Rodriguez Nuno, 37, of Patterson. Police said Lara complained of pain to her left arm, while Nuno complained of pain to her left leg. Each was transported for treatment.
