Gustine Police 

Activity Report 

The Gustine Police Department received 60 calls for service and reported 77 officer initiated calls for a total of 137 incidents between Oct. 11 to Oct. 17. There were 16 cases opened and five arrests were made. The department issued traffic citations, one parking citation and towed three vehicles.

Burglary 

A break-in was reported at 11:21 a.m. Oct. 12 at Lee’s Floral Shop on 5th Street. The caller stated this was not the first burglary the flower shop had experienced recently. A report was taken by the police department.

Warrant arrest 

At 9:10 p.m. on Oct. 13, Corporal Martinez and Officer Gonzales observed a subject on a bicycle commit a traffic violation in their presence in the area of Via Palermo. Officers made a stop of Enrique Salinas. During the investigation, it was confirmed that Salinas had two warrants for his arrest. Salinas was placed under arrest and later released via citation.

Arrests 

Jonathan Martinez Hernandez, 26, of Gustine was arrested on Oct. 13 for driving without a license.

Enrique Rios Salinas, 27, of Gustine was arrested on Oct. 13 for trespassing and two misdemeanor warrants.

Braulio Elvis Arreola Mora, 21, of Gustine was arrested on Oct. 15 for driving without a license and a vehicle code infraction.

Diego Arturo Lopez Rodriguez, 28, of San Jose was arrested on Oct. 17 for driving without a license.

Juan Gallegos Madrigal, 49, of Gustine was arrested on Oct. 17 for disobeying a court order.

Newman Police

Activity Report 

The Newman Police Department received 112 calls for service and reported 51 officer initiated calls for a total of 163 incidents between Oct. 11 to Oct. 17. There were 29 cases opened and 11 arrests made. The department issued 10 traffic citations, three parking citations and four criminal citations. Two vehicles were towed.

Vandalism 

The Newman Police Department took two reports of graffiti over two days. The first incident was reported on Oct. 11 from the 700 block of Orestimba Peak. Blue spray paint was used to graffiti a fence. On Oct. 13, the police department took a report of a dumpster that had been graffitied in the alleyway in the 1500 block of Q Street. 

Auto theft 

A Hertz rental car was reported stolen at 8:01 a.m. Oct. 12 from the 300 block of Parliament Way. The victim said the vehicle was parked outside the residence along the street. The vehicle is a 2020 grey Chevy Sonic. The reporting party said the vehicle might have been unlocked and the keys left in the car. The vehicle was not located.

Larceny 

A resident from the 300 block of Parliament Way reported on Oct. 11 that a gun and cash were missing from the home. The gun was a 1970s Smith and Wesson .38 special with wood grips and a black finish. The serial number was unknown. The reporting party also said $1,000 in cash was missing. There were no signs of forced entry.

Arrests

Lazs Ray King III, 44, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 11 for driving on a license suspended for DUI.

A 47-year-old unnamed male resident of Newman was arrested on Oct. 12 for domestic violence, child cruelty, threats, exhibiting a deadly weapon and destroying a wireless device.

Savannah Saldivar, 33, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 13 for driving without a license.

Nathan Timothy Powell, 38, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 14 for a warrant.

Oscar Moya Diaz, 23, of Gustine was arrested on Oct. 14 for possession of marijuana for sale and driving without a license.

Jesus Ernesto Padilla Lopez, 22, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 15 for driving without a license.

Nadia Lucatero Ochoa, 28, of Patterson was arrested on Oct. 16 for driving without a license.

Shana Deann Davidson, 49, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 16 for driving without a license.

Tania Sarahi Gomez De La Rosa, 34, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 17 for driving on a suspended license.

A 32-year-old unnamed man of Newman was arrested on Oct. 17 for domestic violence.

Nicole Aundria Cajimat, 30, of Patterson was arrested on Oct. 17 for a warrant.
