Newman police said a cell phone and carpet-cleaning machine were reported stolen Oct. 6 from a residence in the 700 block of Lady Slipper Lane. The loss was estimated at $600.
A bicycle valued at $100 was reported stolen Oct. 3 from the 400 block of Driskell Avenue. Police were told the theft actually occurred three months ago.
A rear view mirror valued at $15 was reported stolen Sept. 30 from a vehicle parked on Hills Ferry Road.
The following were among arrests reported by Newman police from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.
A 16-year-old Newman male was arrested Sept. 30 for driving without a license. The charge is a misdemeanor.
Lani S. Azevedo, 37, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 3 on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing on an occupied property.
Joshua L. Price, 38, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 3 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
A 51-year-old Patterson female was arrested Oct. 5 on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
Daniel R. Bueno Jr., 33, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 6 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
Newman police received 98 calls for service, reported 86 officer-initiated incidents, handled 28 cases, made seven arrests, issued 15 traffic citations and wrote nine parking tickets from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6, according to the department’s activity report.
No Gustine police report was available this week. A report covering two weeks of GPD activity will be published next week.
Weekly arrest and incident reports are provided by the Newman and Gustine police departments. Charges may have been dropped as of press time. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
