The Newman Police Department received 95 calls for service and reported 105 officer initiated calls for a total of 200 incidents between April 30 to May 5. There were 24 cases opened and 11 arrests.
The department issued 12 traffic citations, four criminal citations, two municipal violations, and 13 parking citations. Four vehicles were towed.
A suspect tried to steal two vehicles at Orestimba High School on May 4, but only succeeded in making both inoperable, according to the Newman Police Department.
The entire dash board of an Express Cart was pulled off and the wiring pulled apart. A dark blue Polaris had the ignition punched out.
Two gate locks also were cut during the break-in.
Video cameras did capture images of the suspect.

Codie Brantley, 34, of Newman was arrested on May 1 for a warrant.
A 17-year-old boy from Newman was arrested on May 2 for being an unlicensed driver.
Margaret Rojas, 45, of Newman was arrested on May 3 for a warrant.
Adelio Angulo 57, of Gustine was arrested on May 3 for being an unlicensed driver.
Jonathan Cerna, 18, of Newman was arrested on May 3 for being an unlicensed driver.
Carina Leyva, 30, of Newman was arrested on May 3 for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ricardo Gonzalez Jr., 18, of Newman was arrested on May 5 for driving on a suspended license.
