Activity Report

The Newman Police Department received 63 calls for service and reported 107 officer initiated calls for a total of 170 incidents between June 10 to June 16. There were 19 cases opened and 11 arrested.

The department issued 17 traffic citations, four criminal citations, seven parking citations and two animal citations. Five vehicles were towed.

Auto theft

A green 2006 Kawasaki Mule was stolen from an unlocked shed near Matteri Field on Park Road on June 16. 

At 12:56 a.m. the following day, Newman Police officers spotted the mule and conducted a traffic stop. Six individuals all ran from the vehicle. They were wearing full face masks and black hoodies. The suspects were not located. 

The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Arrests

Tancred Delatorre, 43, of Newman was arrested on June 10 for shoplifting and a warrant.

Raul Villalobos, 22, of Gustine was arrested on June 10 for being an unlicensed driver.

Nodia Brown, 25, of Newman was arrested on June 11 for driving on a suspended license.

Jamie Grissom, 48, of Los Banos was arrested on June 12 for driving on a license suspended for DUI and a warrant.

Ismael Vazquez, 21, of Modesto was arrested on June 13 for being an unlicensed driver.

Rigoberto Cornejo, 43, of Newman was arrested on June 13 for a felony parole hold and a warrant.

Allen Bossard, 42, of Los Banos was arrested on June 15 for driving on a suspended license.

Rodrigo Ledezma, 25, of Newman was arrested on June 15 for being an unlicensed driver.

Travis Williamson, 45, of Newman was arrested on June 16 for possession of a controlled substance.

Darrell Coleman, 54, of Modesto was arrested on June 16 for driving on a suspended license.

Jesus Gallardo, 30, of Newman was arrested on June 16 for a warrant.
