Gustine Police Department

Activity Report

The Gustine Police Department responded to 59 calls for service and reported 94 officer initiated calls for a total of 153 incidents from Nov. 8 to Nov. 15. There were 18 cases opened and eight arrests. The department issued nine traffic citations and 10 parking citations. Five vehicles were towed.

Assault and battery

The police department is seeking the suspect who assaulted an  eployee at Richard's Market on 6th Street in Gustine around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. The reporting party said the suspect threw a glass beer bottle and a propane canister at the employee. The employee was not injured. The suspect was last seen behind the store leaving on foot. He was wearing a block shirt, a black and red beanie and had a black blanket wrapped around his shoulders.

  

Arrests

Quinn Robert Silva, 32, of Los Banos was arrested on Nov. 9 for misdemeanor DUI.

Maria Delrosario De La Herran Gonzalez, 34, of Los Banos was arrested on Nov. 10 for battery.

Jordan Gabriel Montes, 28, of Los Banos was arrested on Nov. 10 for battery.

Jincheng Lei, 38, of Los Angeles was arrested on Nov. 11 for driving on a license suspended for DUI.

Graciano Alba Carrillo, 71, of Santa Nella was arrested on Nov. 12 for driving without a license.

Jose Alfredo Diaz Vargas, 28, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 13 for possession of an open container of cannabis and vehicle code infractions.

Emmanuel Rodriguez, 32, of Gustine was arrested on Nov. 14 for DUI, driving without a license, possession of an open container, possession of marijuana while driving and vehicle code infractions.

Arturo Acosta Vega, 20, of Ceres was arrested on Nov. 14 for possession of an open container of cannabis.

Abraham Ramirez, 29, of Gustine was arrested on Nov. 14 possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Newman Police Department

Activity Report

The Newman Police Department responded to 72 calls for service and reported 62 officer initiated calls for a total of 134 from Nov. 8 to Nov. 14. There were 27 cases opened and 20 arrests. The department issued six traffic citations, nine criminal citations, and 10 parking citations. Four vehicles were towed.

DUI

The police department stopped a vehicle and arrested the driver for DUI on Nov. 13 after it drove across the lawn at the fire department. The vehicle was spotted by an officer driving northbound on Highway 33. The driver pulled into the Newman City Market parking lot, continue across the dirt portion and head towards the fire department property. The vehicle entered the fire department property, drove over a barrier and onto the lawn. The driver continued south on the lawn until it reached the concrete driveway and then reentered Highway 33. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Mario Silvas Martinez, showed signs of intoxication, according to the police department. he blew a BAC of.13. He was cited and released to a responsible adult.

A 17-year-old male from Modesto was arrested on Nov. 8 for being an unlicensed driver.

Barbara Jean Mayo, 62, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 8 for driving on a suspended license.

Yelsin Escobar Mendiolaza, 22, of Hilmar was arrested on Nov. 8 for being an unlicensed driver.

Oscar Marquez, 53, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 9 for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and being an unlicensed driver.

Ira Pauline Perez Pablo, 46, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 10 for being an unlicensed driver.

Rolando Prado Gamboa, 32, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 10 for a warrant.

Marcus Castaneda, 37, of Los Banos was arrested on Nov. 11 for a warrant.

Desiree Pena Reparejo, 34, of Winchester was arrested on Nov. 11 for warrants.

Joel Francisco Torres, 28, of Modesto was arrested on Nov. 11 for being an unlicensed driver.

John Matthew Barraza, 22, of Merced was arrested on Nov. 11 for driving on a suspended license.

Octavio Gonzalez Garcia, 27, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 11 for a warrant.

Isaac Rodriguez, 41, of Modesto was arrested on Nov. 11 for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, a warrant and being an unlicensed driver.

An unnamed 28-year-old female Newman resident was arrested on Nov. 13 for domestic violence.

Nick Bartolomeo Pascal, 61, of Stevinson was arrested on Nov. 13 for driving without a license.

Juan Eduardo Segura Lopez, 28, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 13 for driving without a license.

Mario Silvas Martinez, 39, of Modesto was arrested on Nov. 13 for DUI and driving without a license.

Santiago Mendoza, 69, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 14 for driving without a license.

David Charles Anderson, 63 of Newman was arrested on Nov. 14 for possession of a switchblade.

Jonathan Reynoso Arechiga, 18, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 14 for driving without a license.

Marco Yahir Pacheco Chable, 19, of Newman was arrested on Nov. 14 for driving without a license.
