Newman police said a 1995 Toyota Camry was reported stolen Nov. 26 from a parking lot in the 1400 block of Highway 33. The victim took the keys with her into a store but left the vehicle unlocked, according to police reports, and returned five minutes later to discover the vehicle gone. The Camry was recovered later that day by Modesto Area CHP. It had been damaged but not stripped, police said.
The following were among arrests reported by Newman police from Nov. 25 through Dec. 1. The arrest report included incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.
Cristian A. Delgado, 22, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 25 on felony charges of obstructing or resisting a police officer and making threats with the intent to terrorize, as well as misdemeanor charges of battery and vandalism.
Juan Rodriguez Aguilar Jr., 26, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 29 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.
Mayra Minchaca Torres, 27, of Crows Landing, was arrested Nov. 30 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
A 28-year-old Modesto male was arrested Dec. 1 on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
Newman police received 70 calls for service, reported 55 officer-initiated incidents, handled 14 cases, made five arrests, wrote 11 traffic citations and issued four parking tickets from Nov. 25 through Dec. 1, according to the department’s activity report.
Gustine police said a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse recovered by the CHP at Netherton and Whitworth roads in the early morning hours of Nov. 30 was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Hales Drive.
Police said a Nov. 29 vandalism incident damaged a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Fentem. According to police reports, a rock was thrown from a passing vehicle and struck the windshield of the parked vehicle. The damage was estimated at $200.

Guadalupe Sanchez, 45, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 25 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.
Abel Salinas, 37, of Los Banos, was arrested Nov. 27 on a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance, three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony warrant.
Juan Aguilera, 38, of Gustine, was arrested Nov. 29 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.
Gustine police received 53 calls for service, reported 107 officer-initiated incidents, handled 16 cases, made seven arrests, issued four traffic citations and wrote 11 parking tickets from Nov. 25 through Dec. 2, according to the department’s activity report.
Weekly arrest and incident reports are provided by the Newman and Gustine police departments. Charges may have been dropped as of press time. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
