Larceny cases

Newman police said jewelry valued at approximately $40,000 was reported stolen Oct. 12 from the trunk of a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Gibralter Lane. According to police reports, the jewelry box was last seen in the trunk Oct. 11 and was discovered missing the following evening.

Police said numerous items were reported stolen Oct. 13 from a residence in the 800 block of Foxglove Court. Authorities said the items included a laptop computer, a safe, personal documents and cash. The loss was estimated at $950.

Arrests

The following were among arrests reported by Newman police from Oct. 7-13. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.

Flavio F. Garcia Vera, 34, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 7 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Tyler C. Silveira, 29, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 8 on misdemeanor charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

William E. Bosshard Jr., 29, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 8 on a felony bench warrant out of Stanislaus County Superior Court.

A 20-year-old Newman male was arrested Oct. 8 on felony charges related to domestic violence.

Mayra Minchaca Torres, 27, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 9 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Santiago Damian Avina Jr., 22, of Crows Landing, was arrested Oct. 10 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Jonathan Torres Barrera, 26, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 11 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Martin Guerrero Jr., 39, of Newman, was arrested Oct. 13 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Activity report

Newman police received 95 calls for service, reported 82 officer-initiated incidents, handled 26 cases, made 10 arrests, wrote 19 traffic citations and issued six parking tickets from Oct. 7-13, according to the department’s activity report.

GUSTINE POLICE

Arrest report

The following were among the arrests reported by Gustine police from Oct. 2-14. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.

Yessica Servin, 28, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 2 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Consuelo Reynoso, 19, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 4 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Dominga Garcia Hernandez, 39, of Santa Nella, was arrested Oct. 5 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Jorge Nogueda Bailon, 28, of San Jose, was arrested Oct. 6 on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism, as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of stolen property and vehicle hit-and-run.

Oscar Martinez Garcia, 20, of Patterson, was arrested Oct. 8 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Steven T. Martinez, 37, of Turlock, was arrested Oct. 9 on a felony warrant and a misdemeanor charge of providing false identification to a police officer.

Jonathan G. Cota, 18, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 12 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Roy Renteria, 35, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 13 on a misdemeanor trespassing charge.

Jesus A. Medina, 48, of Salinas, was arrested Oct. 14 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license.

Rodrigo Ramos Jr., 52, of Gustine, was arrested Oct. 14 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license.

Activity report

Gustine police handled 148 calls for service, reported 257 officer-initiated incidents (including 44 traffic stops), took 33 reports and made 12 arrests from Oct. 1-14, according to the department’s activity report.
