Store burglarized

Gustine police said an officer spotted two subjects running from Richard’s Market in the early morning hours of June 18 after a break-in.

According to police reports, the individuals ran to an older Hyundai parked on the east side of the market and leave the scene. The officer, who heard an audible alarm and observed broken glass at the front entrance, conducted a vehicle stop of at Highway 33 and 140 but the individuals were able to flee the scene on foot, authorities reported.

Two bottles of liquor were recovered and returned to the store.

Motorcycle stolen

Gustine police said a 1994 Suzuki Intruder motorcycle was reported stolen June 20 from the 300 block of Fifth Street. The motorcycle had not been recovered as of Tuesday morning.


Authorities said a break-in was reported June 24 at the city’s wastewater treatment plant. Miscellaneous items were reported stolen from a storage shed. No value estimate was listed.

Tools valued at $1,120 were reported stolen June 20 from a work truck in the 600 block of Third Avenue.


Police said a 37-year-old Gustine female was arrested June 24 on a felony domestic violence charge.

Activity report

Gustine police received 55 calls for service, reported 140 officer-initiated incidents, handled 17 cases, made three arrests and wrote two traffic tickets from June 18-24, according to the department’s activity report.
