NEWMAN POLICE

Vandalism

Newman police said a window of an apartment unit in the 1100 block of M Street was broken in an incident reported July 27. The damage was estimated at $400.

Burglary

Authorities said power tools valued at $300 were reported stolen July 25 from a residence in the 700 block of Tulare Street.

Larceny

Two large containers of change were reported stolen July 27 from a home in the 500 block of Waxwing Lane. No dollar amount was listed.

Fraud

Police said a resident reported fraudulent bank transactions in the amounts of $499 and $399 in which the funds were sent to two individuals unknown to him. The fraud was reported July 26.

Arrests

The following were among arrests reported by Newman police from July 22-28. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.

Sergio Chavez Hernandez, 47, of Delhi, was arrested July 22 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a license suspended for DUI.

Ethan J. Pinhiero, 28, of Stevinson, was arrested July 22 for driving on a suspended or revoked license. The charge is a misdemeanor.

Mark J. Lomeli, 28, of Crows Landing, was arrested July 23 on a felony charge of vehicle theft.

Joel F. Torres, 25, of Modesto, was arrested July 24 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Mayra Minchaca Torres, 26, of Crows Landing, was arrested July 25 on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Eriberto Preciado, 37, of Newman, was arrested July 25 on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony warrant out of Stanislaus County Superior Court.

Herman Landeros Jr., 46, of Newman, was arrested July 27 on a misdemeanor drug possession charge.

Moises Diaz Rosas, 53, of Newman, was arrested July 27 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Emmanuel Sandoval, 25, of Gustine, was arrested July 27 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Activity report

Newman police received 82 calls for service, reported 73 officer-initiated incidents, handled 29 cases, made 14 arrests, issued 19 traffic citations and wrote six parking tickets from July 22-28, according to the department’s activity report.

GUSTINE POLICE

Theft

Gustine police said numerous items were reported stolen July 25 from the MG Bakery. A PlayStation, cash and a cash register were reported stolen. The loss was estimated at $3,700.

Burglary

Authorities said a laptop and tablet were among items reported stolen July 26 from a home in the 300 block of Seventh Street. The loss was estimated at $406.

Arrests

The following were among arrests reported by Gustine police from July 22-29. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.

Daniel Hurtado Jr., 24, of Newman, was arrested July 22 on a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Melissa Garza, 41, of Gustine, was arrested July 22 on a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Enrique Plascencia Jr., 27, of Gustine, was arrested July 25 on a felony warrant.

Miguel A. Gembe, 41, of Gustine, was arrested July 25 on misdemeanor charges of battery on a person and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brenda Prado, 22, of Oakland, was arrested July 26 for misdemeanor DUI.

Alexander F. Martinez, 23, of Gustine, was arrested July 26 on a misdemeanor DUI charge.

Kathryn A. Singleton, 34, of Modeesto, was arrested July 26 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license.

Gregory V. Vaughn, 34, of Stevinson, was arrested July 27 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a license suspended for DUI.

Juan A. Ramos Sicairos, 30, of Chowchilla, was arrested July 27 for driving on a suspended license. The charge is a misdemeanor.

A 23-year-old Gustine male was arrested July 27 on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Genesis Renteria-Arroyo, 28, of Newman, was arrested July 28 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Dominic Garcia, 37, of Newman, was arrested July 28 on misdemeanor charges of DUI and evading a police officer.

Audra Ketcher, 40, of Gustine, was arrested July 28 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license.

Claudia Arriza, 21, of Gustine, was arrested July 29 on a misdemeanor charge of battery against a person.

Activity report

Gustine police received 92 calls for service, reported 113 officer-initiated incidents, handled 29 cases, made 15 arrests, issued 13 traffic tickets and wrote five parking citations from July 22-29, according to the department’s activity report.
