Vandalism

Newman police said a vehicle window was reported smashed in the 700 block of Driskell Avenue on Nov. 30.

No damage estimate was listed.

Larceny

Police said a suspect who asked two juveniles in Pioneer Park to use their cell phone to record them play-fighting instead rode away on a bicycle after being given the phone. The loss was estimated at $200. The incident was reported Nov. 26.

Arrests

The following were among arrests reported by Newman police from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.

Jannie C. Perez, 60, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 26 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Juan Nogias, 38, of Gustine, was arrested Nov. 27 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Juventina Velazquez Pacheco, 51, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 28 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Jeffrey L. Polk, 55, of Fremont, was arrested Nov. 28 on a felony warrant out of Stanislaus County Superior Court.

Sabrina M. Hewes, 24, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 28 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Marysol Lopez, 37, of Newman, was arrested Nov. 29 for driving on a suspended or revoked license. The charge is a misdemeanor.

Activity report

Newman police responded to 95 calls for service, reported 68 officer-initiated incidents, handled 27 cases, made 14 arrests, wrote 15 traffic citations, issued 16 parking tickets and issued one animal-related citation from Nov. 26 through Dec. 2, according to the department’s activity report.

Larceny

Gustine police said an iPad and phone charger were reported stolen Dec. 2 from a vehicle in the 700 block of Meredith.

The loss was estimated at $400.

Multiple charges

Authorities said a Gustine man was arrested Nov. 30 on multiple charges.

According to police reports, Richard R. Sicairos, 28, was found at the wheel by an officer investigating a vehicle which was stopped for no apparent reason in a traffic lane in the 500 block of Sixth Street.

An unloaded handgun which had been reported stolen out of Stanislaus County was subsequently discovered in the vehicle, police said.

Police said Sicairos was taken into custody on felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and being a felon in possession of a firearm, as well as misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property, DUI and driving on a license suspended for DUI.

Arrests

The following were among additional arrests reported by Gustine police from Nov. 27 through Dec. 4. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.

Ceasar T. Bueno, 29, of Gustine, was arrested Nov. 27 for driving on a license which had been suspended for DUI. The charge is a misdemeanor.

A 22-year-old Gustine female was arrested Nov. 29 on a felony charge relating to domestic violence.

Saray Lopez, 25, of Gustine, was arrested Nov. 30 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Taylor A. Riggs, 20, of Turlock, was arrested Dec. 1 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.

Activity report

Gustine police received 61 calls for service, reported 82 officer-initiated incidents (including 13 traffic stops), took 18 reports, made six arrests and issued one traffic citation from Nov. 27 to Dec. 4, according to the department’s activity report.
