Newman Police
Newman Police responded to 155 incidents the week of March 3-9 of which 77 were calls for service and 78 were officer initiated.
The department issued 11 parking citations, 1 animal citation and towed one vehicle.
Two assault cases were open, two auto thefts cases, and three vandalism cases.
Arrests
Veronica Fresquez, 43, Newman, was arrested March 3 on a misdemeanor battery charge.
Jimmy Delacruz, 34, Newman, was arrested March 3 on warrant.
Joseph Arro, 40, Stockton, was arrested March 6 on a disorderly conduct charge.
Juvenile, 17, Newman, was arrested March 6 on charges of misdemeanor battery, vandalism and trespass.
Juvenile, 16, Newman, was arrested March 6 on a trespassing charge.
Gilbert Grijalva, 56, Newman, was arrested March 6 on warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jose Mendoza, 43, Newman, was arrested March 8 on charges for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance and warrant. An additional case arrest was made on March 8 for vandalism and possession of a controlled substance.
Gustine Police
Gustine Police responded to seven medical aid calls and 17 citizen assist calls, made 35 traffic enforcements or stops, and assisted other departments in five incidents during the week of March 6 – 12.
Possible Fraud
A man told officers on March 6 someone was using his social security number. A report was taken.
Traffic Hazard
A tree was reported blocking the road March 6 near the bridge near Dollar General.
Suspicious Activity
On March 7, a person reported witnessing someone grab a generator or something from the construction site of the new dollar store.
Theft
A catalytical converter was reported stolen March 7.
Arrests
Eduardo Gonzalez Salazar, 25, was arrested March 12 on misdemeanor charges for Public Intoxication.
John Andy Mora-Caballero, 21, was arrested March 12 on misdemeanor charges for Resisting Arrest.
