Newman police said a 1997 Honda Civic was reported stolen April 8 from the 400 block of Red Lion Way. The vehicle was recovered the following day by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. It was not damaged.
Police said three potted plants and a statue of an angel were reported stolen April 8 from the 500 block of Merced Street. The items were valued at $65.

A 14-year-old Newman female was arrested April 8 on a misdemeanor charge of battery on a person.
Margarito Monajaraz Luis, 25, of Newman, was arrested April 10 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a license suspended
Katelyn M. Anthenien, 29, of Gustine, was arrested April 13 on misdemeanor charges of drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and providing a false identification to a police officer.
Newman police received 95 calls for service, reported 25 officer-initiated incidents, handled 19 cases, made four arrests, issued three traffic citations, wrote eight parking tickets and issued one animal citation from April 8-14, according to the department’s activity report.
Gustine police said a residential burglary was reported April 10 in the 700 block of Hartley Court. A variety of items were reported stolen, including two watches, a purse, an iPhone, clothing, perfume and sunglasses. Police said the loss was estimated at $4,800.
Gustine police said a 1991 Acura Integra was reported stolen April 12 from a Jensen Road address. The vehicle had not been recovered as of Tuesday morning.
Authorities said a purse and several credit cards were taken from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Ashmount Lane in an incident reported April 14. No value amount was listed.
A package was reported stolen April 14 from the porch of a home in the 100 block of North Avenue. No value was listed.
Police said a window of a home in the 1600 block of Fentem Road was damaged, possibly by a BB gun, in an incident reported April 14. No damage estimate was listed.

Vivian B. Perkins, 30, of Newman, was arrested April 11 on misdemeanor charges of fighting in a public place and possession of a narcotic controlled substance, and a felony charge of battery with serious injury.
Jacob D. Kaiser, 33, of Gustine, was arrested April 15 on misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating parole.
Gustine police received 83 calls for service, reported 123 officer-initiated incidents, handled 23 cases, made four arrests, issued two traffic tickets and wrote three parking citations from April 9-15, according to the department’s activity report.
