Newman police said a 1992 Nissan Pathfinder was reported stolen March 1 from the 1500 block of Inyo Avenue.
The vehicle was recovered later that day by Modesto Area CHP. It had been damaged but not stripped, police said.
Police said a passenger window on a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Merced Street was broken in an incident reported Feb. 26. The damage was estimated at $350.
Authorities said a theft and vandalism to two vehicles was reported March 3 in the 400 block of Sumac Lane. According to police reports, a total of six tires were slashed and several items were taken, including two ladders, a reciprocating saw and a camp stove. No value was listed on the tires. The stolen items were valued at $640, according to police reports.
Police said a trash container valued at $75 was reported stolen Feb. 27 from the 700 block of Peloquin Court.
The following were among arrests reported by Newman police from Feb. 25 to March 3. The arrest report includes incidents in which an individual was released on citation as well as cases in which a suspect was booked.
A 52-year-old Newman male was arrested March 2 on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
Rigoberto Izquierdo Mondragon, 46, of Newman, was arrested March 3 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
Joselito L. Gonzalez, 31, of Crows Landing, was arrested March 3 on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
Newman police received 98 calls for service, reported 58 officer-initiated incidents, handled 18 cases, made six arrests, issued four traffic citations and wrote two parking tickets from Feb. 25 through March 3, according to the department’s activity report.
Police said a suspect was arrested Feb. 28 on felony charges stemming from an incident in the 1200 block of Southport Way in which an individual suffered non-life threatening stab wounds.
Authorities said Hector M. DeLaCruz Jr., 29, of Gustine, was arrested on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and violation of probation.

Jessie Sicairos, 34, of Gustine, was arrested Feb. 26 on a misdemeanor petty theft charge.
Lisa K. Nichols, 50, of Dos Palos, was arrested Feb. 26 on misdemeanor petty theft and drug possession charges.
Alexandor F. Martinez, 23, of Gustine, was arrested March 2 on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
Robert E. Wrobbel Jr., 23, of Gustine, was arrested March 3 on a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.
Juvenal R. Guzman, 39, of Livingston, was arrested March 4 on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license.
Gustine police received 65 calls for service, reported 228 officer-initiated incidents, handled 16 cases, made seven arrests, wrote five traffic citations and issued three parking tickets from Feb. 26 through March 5, according to the department’s activity report.
