Jerry Arthur Musson, 74, of Patterson passed away Sunday, July 21 at his residence surrounded by family.
Mr. Musson was born in Shawano, Wis., and after growing up in Newman lived in Patterson for 55 years.
He owned Musson’s Liquor and Sporting Goods in Patterson for 27 years. During his younger years, Mr. Musson was an active member of the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, and belonged to both the PFSA and Rotary Club. He was also the president of the Patterson High School Booster Club, and served on the Board of Directors for El Solyo Village and the Del Puerto Hospital District.
He was one of the founders of the Patterson Apricot Fiesta and was a past fiesta grand marshal.
Mr. Musson might be best known for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Musson of Patterson; three sons, David Musson (Betsy) of Fresno, Eric Musson (Sonia) of Patterson and Jerry Musson II (Michelle) of Patterson; a daughter, Anna Musson-Meirinho of Modesto; a brother, Henry Musson of Newman; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, followed by a rosary. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Patterson. Interment will follow in Patterson District Cemetery.
