Thomas “Tommy” Edgar Holder, 67, of Los Banos died Wednesday, June 4, in Palo Alto.

He was born Oct. 5, 1952 in Modesto to Anna M. Miller-Holder and Carl E. Holder.

Mr. Holder worked as a mechanic for various companies throughout his life.

He held a certificate of achievement in the ministry.

His hobbies included cutting firewood, fishing and tinkering with electronics. Mr. Holder was also an excellent artist with a gift of drawing.

He is survived by two daughters, Nicole Schulke (Don) and Tabitha McDougal (Wayne); his mother, Anna Miller-Holder; three sisters, Bessie Santos, Annie Cain (Arnold) and Brenda Sousa (Bob); a brother, Floyd Holder (Denise); four grandsons, three granddaughters, five great-grandsons and several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Spates-Holder; a son, Jeremy Holder; his father, Carl E. Holder; two brothers, Carl L. Holder and Jeff Holder; and one granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Hillview Funeral Chapel, Newman.
