To the editor:
Gustine Unified School District was recently involved in the Valley Children’s Healthcare Foundation supporting “Kids Day.”
The event was held March 9, and was different this year as we were unable to hand out the Kids Day newspaper as usual. While COVID-19 put a halt on the norms, this did not stop us.
We held coin wars at school sites, board members Loretta Rose and Zachery Ramos took on the “fill the boot” and Gustine FFA held their drive as well.
In all, Gustine Unified School District collected $3,308.60 and sent it to Valley Children’s.
This is more than our previous years. We can’t thank enough each and every one of you who collected, donated and helped. Thank you to our staff, students and most of all our community for supporting this event.
