Orestimba Volleyball

To kick off their week Orestimba (5-3 SAL) faced off against the SAL leaders Ripon Christian (10-0 SAL) in a league match up. The Knights came away with a 10-25, 18-25, 20-25 victory over the Warriors on Oct. 6. The  Warriors now currently sit in the fourth place ranking in the league, right under third place Mariposa and second place Le Grand.

Xitlally Herrera led the offense with five kills, while also recording four digs on the night. Ciera Thibodeau added three kills to her stats as Olivia Gray chipped in two. Joslyn Sotelo had a great defensive game having five digs and one block. Janessa Marquez led the defense with seven digs along with leading with four aces. Reagan Matthews recorded two aces on the night. As for setter Olivia Gray, she racked up six assists.

JV Warriors

In JV action the host Ripon Knights prevailed a 15-25, 13-25 victory over the Warriors during their Oct. 6 match up.

Freshmen

The Frosh Warriors took two tough losses on their road trip to Ripon Christian. They took a 2-0 loss, with scores of 19-25, 22-25.

Gustine Volleyball 

In their only match of the week Gustine (4-6 SAL) played host to the visiting Waterford Wildcats (3-7 SAL) on Oct. 6. They came away with the victory in three games, with scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-23. The Reds now currently sit in the fifth ranking of the Southern League right below their rival Orestimba, who sits in the fourth position.

Frankie Miske had a great all around performance with five kills, two aces and one solo block on the night. As for Leilani Aguilera she led the offense with nine total kills and right behind her was Alexis Gallichio with eight kills of her own. Shandel Aguilera recorded four kills, as Natalie Cruz added eight aces to her stat sheet.

JV Reds

For the JV Reds they came away with the 25-19, 25-21 victory over the visiting Waterford Wildcats. Joselin Tovar had a well balanced offensive day with three kills and three aces. Laiah Nagai Knox recorded one kill with six aces, as Nayeli Lomeli chipped in two kills. While Christina Navarro added one kill and two aces to her stats.
