Orestimba’s junior varsity Lady Warriors took two of three non-league contests last week.

The JV Lady Warriors shook off a loss to Hilmar to head into the holiday break on a strong note with wins over Los Banos and Galt.

Orestimba closed out the week with a 29-15 win over visiting Galt Friday. The Lady Warriors held Galt scoreless in the first quarter to set the tone.

Grace McCauley put up 11 points to pace Orestimba. Adriana Rocha scored seven, Taylor Gray chipped in with three and Allison Trovao, Alia Valenzuela, Joslyn Sotelo and Rosa Parkin each added two points.

OHS 32, Los Banos 23

McCauley buried four three-pointers in the opening quarter to help stake Orestimba to an 18-7 lead, and the Lady Warriors went on to defeat the Tigers Thursday.

McCauley finished with 17 points on the evening. Rocha scored eight, Sotelo put up three and Valenzuela and Trovao each netted two points.

Hilmar 38, OHS 21

Orestimba was unable to keep pace at Hilmar to open the week.

Sotelo stepped up to lead Orestimba with six points, Valenzuela was on the score sheet with five, Trovao chipped in with four points and McCauley and Rocha each contributed three points.
