The varsity Lady Reds picked up non-league basketball wins over Big Valley Christian and Dos Palos last week during a busy stretch which saw Gustine play four games over the course of six days.

Gustine opened the week with a 27-22 win over visiting Big Valley Christian last Monday.

Ashley Lomeli paced Gustine with 11 points. Tianah Vitorino netted six, Cynthia Castaneda scored five, Violette Terriques finished with four and Magali Macias and Anezza Rodriguez each hit a free throw in the win.

GHS 44, Dos Palos 34

Vitorino lit up the board to the tune of 20 points to lead the Lady Reds past the visiting Broncos Thursday evening.

Castaneda provided double-digit scoring support as well, as she was in the book with 14 points. Macias added six points, while Lomeli and Terriquez chipped in with two points each.

Stone Ridge Christian 47, GHS 38

Gustine fell to visiting Stone Ridge Christian Tuesday evening.

Castaneda paced the Lady Reds with 11 points, Alexis Barnett put up eight, Vitorino finished with five, Macias, Rodriguez and Lomeli scored four points each and Terriquez added two to round out the scoring.

Millennium 56, GHS 41

The visiting Falcons prevailed over their hosts Saturday.

Castaneda put up 12 points for the Lady Reds. Rodriguez netted seven, Barnett was in the book with six, Macias scored four, Terriquez and Vitorino each scored three and Lomeli, Sarah Bedford and Megan Azevedo added two points each.
