Host Orestimba shook off a slow start to win three of five matches in a varsity volleyball tournament held Saturday.

The Lady Warriors dropped their first two matches, but rebounded to close out tournament play with three consecutive wins.

Orestimba wrapped up tournament play with a 25-7, 25-8 win over Millennium. Sarah Millan led the Orestimba attack with 11 kills, while Ellie Dyt put down four and Riley Marroquin was credited with two.

Alyssa Bonilla came up with six digs and was credited with four aces. Reagan Marroquin had three aces and Riley Matthews contributed two. Setter Doreen Dyt had 19 assists in the finale.

In other tournament play:

• Orestimba turned back rival Gustine 25-14, 25-17. Millan led a balanced attack with five kills, while Reagan Marroquin and Ellie Dyt each recorded four and Jazmin Rodriguez chipped in with three kills.

Bonilla came up with five digs. Rodriguez led Orestimba with four aces.

• Orestimba edged Hughson 25-22, 25-24 in a close match. Ellie Dyt recorded six kills and Millan collected four in the victory. Doreen Dyt was a defensive leader with seven digs.

• The Lady Warriors dropped a 19-25, 20-25 decision to Modesto. Millan finished with seven kills. Bonilla was a defensive leader with 17 digs, while Ellie Dyt came up with nine and Reagan Marroquin was credited with six.

•Bret Harte dealt OHS a 25-12, 25-24 in the opener. Ellie Dyt stepped up to lead the Lady Warriors with eight kills. Bonilla had eight digs, while Doreen Dyt and Ellie Dyt each recorded six.
