A balanced attack lifted Orestimba past host Grace Davis High in the Lady Warriors’ season opener Friday.

Orestimba was in control from the start, rolling to a 72-38 win before heading back to the West Side.

The Lady Warriors outscored Davis in every quarter, taking a 33-19 halftime lead and punctuating the victory with an 18-2 run in the fourth quarter.

Five Orestimba players finished in double figures. Jade Robinson led the way with 15, Sarah Millan and Ciera Thibodeau each put up 14, Reagan Marroquin chipped in 12 points and Rubi Parra was in the book with 10 points. Jessica Villarreal added three points, while Elizabeth Lilly and Jackie Lujan each scored two to round out the scoring.

Orestimba dominated the junior varsity game as well.

The JV Lady Warriors bolted to an 11-2 lead after one and went on to prevail 32-9.

Adriana Rocha led Orestimba with 10 points. Allison Trovao netted eight, Rosa Parkin scored seven, Grace McCauley put up five and Alia Valenzuela added two for OHS.
