Orestimba battled back from a 9-2 deficit but came up two runs short in varsity softball action last Tuesday in Los Banos, where the host Tigers held on for the 9-7 win.
The Lady Warriors broke on top by plating two runs in the second. A Haylee Medeiros double keyed that inning.
But the Tigers answered with five in their half of the inning, and stretched their lead with three more in the third.
Orestimba made things interesting late. Orestimba scored two in the sixth on base hits by Victoriz Vasquez, Medeiros and Sarah Millan.
The Lady Warriors plated three more in the seventh before Los Banos was able to put the win in the books.
Medeiros and Ivory Avila each collected two hits. Shiloh Croffoot, Vasquez and Millan also hit safely for Orestimba.
