Ciera Thibodeau drops in two points for the varsity Lady Warriors during Orestimba’s win over visiting Los Banos last week.

Orestimba continued its tear through the non-league portion of the varsity basketball schedule last week.

The Lady Warriors improved to 11-1 on the season with wins over Hilmar, Los Banos and Galt.

Orestimba opened the week with a 50-34 win over host Hilmar. The Lady Warriors battled back from a seven-point deficit at the end of a quarter, and eventually broke open a close game with a 24-6 run in the fourth quarter.

Ciera Thibodeau led the West Siders with 19 points, and Jessica Villarreal was well into double figures with 15. Sarah Millan scored seven, Rubi Parra put up five, Xitlally Herrera was in the book with three points and Reagan Marroquin added a free throw.

OHS 40, Los Banos 38

Orestimba won a thriller over visiting Los Banos Thursday.

The Lady Warriors led 24-15 at the half and held off a Los Banos rally to win.

Millan put up a dozen points to lead OHS, and Thibodeau was again in double figures with 10. Parra chipped in with seven points, Villarreal finished with four, Jade Robinson netted three and Jazlyn Tucker and Marroquin added two points each.

OHS 52, Galt 40

Orestimba turned back visiting Galt Friday to wrap up the week on a winning note.

The Lady Warriors led 22-19 at the half and pulled away over the final two quarters to win.

Marroquin and Robinson provided a solid one-two scoring punch for the Lady Warriors, finishing with 15 and 14 points respectively. Thibodeau had nine points on the night, Millan finished with eight and Villarreal was in the book with six.

Millan, with 14 rebounds, and Thibodeau, who finished with 13, anchored the boards for Orestimba.
