Orestimba High’s tennis program honored its seniors last Tuesday before the Warriors’ home finale  against visiting Denair.

Orestimba’s tennis team honored its seniors last Monday before the Warriors final home match of the season.

Then the Warriors took the court and dominated visiting Denair in a 9-0 sweep of the day’s matches.

Orestimba’s singles entries set the tone.

R.J. Garcia prevailed 6-0, 6-0; Abraham Gutierrez earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory; Rylee Garcia posted a 6-2, 6-1 win; and Madison Cabral came away with a solid 6-0, 6-1 win.

Orestimba was equally dominant in doubles play.

Ziggie Garcia and Eric Rodriguez teamed up for a 6-1, 6-0 victory; Alysha Galotta and Sarahi Mares won 6-1, 6-1; Yahaira Romero and Marina Freitas earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory and Joshua Hurlock and Nicole Flanders were 6-0, 6-1 winners.

Orestimba also won one of the doubles matches by forfeit.

Orestimba closed out its week in equally strong fashion, sweeping host Turlock Christian Friday.

R.J. Garcia was a 6-1, 6-0 victor; Gutierrez prevailed 6-1, 6-2; Rylee Garcia won 6-2, 6-1; and Cabral posted a 6-1, 6-0 decision.

In doubles play, Eric Perkins and Rodriguez won 6-1, 6-2; Emmenuel Segundo and Dylan Dobos earned a 6-3, 7-5 win; and Andrew Aguiniga and Flanders came away with a 7-5, 6-4 decision.

Orestimba won two other doubles matches by forfeit.

The two victories were sandwiched around a 9-0 setback at the hands of Delhi last week.
