Orestimba cross country runners competed in the Division IV Sac-Joaquin Section sub-section meet Saturday in Angels Camp.

Powderpuff rivalry game Friday
Orestimba High will host a powderpuff football game against rival Gustine Friday evening, Nov. 15.
The game will match teams comprised of juniors and seniors from each school.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. in Warrior Stadium.
Admission is $3.
Newman youth baseball/softball
Newman Youth Baseball/Softball will host early-bird registration sessions Thursdays, Nov. 14 and Dec. 5. The Nov. 14 session will be held at Pizza Place. The Dec. 5 sign-ups will be accepted at Pizza Plus. Each runs from 6-8 p.m. A $5 discount is offered during the early registration sessions.
Age divisions include tee-ball (4-6, 4-year-olds must have a parent assistant for the team), pee wee (7-8), minors (9-10), majors (11-12) and pony/seniors (13-14). Boys must meet age requirement as of April 1; girls 7 and older and 4-year-old tee-ball players must meet age requirement as of Jan. 1.
Copy of birth certificate and payment are required at time of registration.
The league is also seeking volunteers and coaches.
GHS fall sports awards
Gustine High will host its fall sports banquet Thursday, Nov. 14.
The program begins at 6 p.m. in the Gustine High auditorium.
Admission is free. Dinners are served free of charge to athletes and coaches. Additional meals may be purchased for $7.
Youth basketball clinic
The Gustine Recreation Department and Gustine High School boys basketball program will host a youth basketball clinic Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon at GHS.
The clinic is open to players ages 5-14. Cost is $35 per player.
Each player will receive a ticket to the Nov. 22 Reds games against visiting Stone Ridge Christian.
