Gustine Police
Reckless Driving
The Gustine Police Department took a report of reckless driving at 8:29 p.m. on April 2. The caller said a white Tesla with lights underneath almost ran him over in the area of 5th Street. The vehicle was not located.
Vandalism
A resident on 7th street reported that her 2006 GMC Envoy and 2003 GMC Sonoma had the tires slashed and both vehicles had been keyed. The vandalism was reported at 7:37 a.m. on April 3.
Suspicious Incident
At 4:12 a.m. on April 6, a resident of 6th Street reported that someone had knocked on her door and she had gotten a text message that read “peek a-boo, you can’t hide forever.” A check of the area did not turn up any individuals.
Arrests
Raymond Cabanas, 51, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. on March 30 in the area of 4th Street and 1st Avenue for possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.
Kevin Michael Addington, 27, was arrested at 8:19 a.m. on March 31 in the 1400 block of Meredith Avenue for a warrant.
Newman Police
The Newman Police Department received 71 calls for service and reported 114 officer-initiated calls for a total of 185 incidents from March 29 to April 4. There were 14 cases opened and 12 arrests.
The department issued 23 traffic citations, one criminal citation, seven parking citations and three animal citations. One vehicle was towed.
Arrests
Adalid Monets Castaneda, 37, of Turlock was arrested on March 31 for driving on a suspended license.
Jacob Forbes, 20, of Newman was arrested on March 31 for attempted robbery and threatening with intent.
Rosalinda Parkin, 19, of Newman was arrested on April 1 for driving on a license suspended for DUI.
Ronald Silva, 66, of Gustine was arrested on April 2 for a warrant.
Eduardo Parra, age unknown of Newman was arrested on April 3 for being a person prohibited from possessing ammunition and a warrant.
Rigoberto Cornejo, 45, of Newman was arrested on April 3 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.
Vincent Hernandez, 25, of Modesto was arrested on April 4 for driving on a suspended license.
