GUSTINE — The City of Gustine and the Gustine High School Class of 2026 have announced the postponement of their upcoming Color Run event, citing low registration numbers and the possibility of rain on the scheduled date.
Despite a strong outreach effort over the weekend—including social media posts, emails, and text messaging—only 30 participants had registered for the event. Organizers said the combination of limited turnout and unfavorable weather forecasts prompted the decision to reschedule.
The Color Run is now expected to take place in the spring or summer, with plans to possibly return the event to downtown Gustine, where it has seen greater success in previous years.
“We greatly appreciate the community’s continued support of our events, especially the Color Run, and we hope you will join us again when the event is rescheduled,” organizers said in a statement.
Those who have already registered or paid for sponsorships or vendor space may request a refund by emailing tvitorino@cityofgustine.com. Otherwise, payments will be retained and applied toward the rescheduled event.
Organizers apologized for any inconvenience and said they look forward to hosting a vibrant and well-attended Color Run in the coming months.
