Gustine set to sparkle with patriotic pride
july fourth

The stars, stripes, and small-town charm will be on full display as Gustine prepares for its annual 4th of July celebration, promising a festive day full of music, food, games, and family fun.

The festivities kick off with the Gustine Chamber of Commerce’s 4th of July Parade, stepping off at 10:30 a.m. sharp, followed by the Independence Day in the Park celebration at Henry Miller Park from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The patriotic parade, a longtime Gustine tradition, will feature dazzling floats, local clubs and organizations, marching groups, and community leaders coming together to celebrate America’s birthday. Parade participants are reminded to register by June 30, with check-in starting at 9 a.m. at 5th and 1st Avenue. All entries must maintain a safe, forward-moving route with clear spacing and follow all parade guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event.

Immediately following the parade, the celebration continues at Henry Miller Park with live performances by the Gustine City Band, DJ Dan, and a live band, as well as a variety of kids’ games, food booths, and refreshing beverages—including a beer and margarita garden for the adults. Families can cool off at the Aquatics Center from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and enjoy friendly competition at the Cornhole Tournament from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors are still welcome to sign up online, with a $50 registration fee that includes a one-day business license.

Adding a humorous twist to this year’s celebration is the Chamber’s Cow Herd Fundraiser—a playful campaign that has seen wooden cow cutouts mysteriously appear on neighborhood lawns. Residents can donate to have the herd “MOOved” to another yard, all in support of funding Gustine’s 4th of July fireworks display.

With the full day of festivities culminating in a breathtaking fireworks show lighting up the Gustine sky, this 4th of July promises to be a heartfelt celebration of freedom, community, and hometown pride.
