The Newman Fire Station responded to 24 calls for service from Jan. 30 to Feb. 5. The calls included 17 for Emergency Medical Services, two fire alarms and five public assists.

On February 1, at 8:02 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a fire alarm near Yolo Street and R Street. Upon arrival, the fire crew found an educational facility with an audible alarm sounding. The crew reset the alarm and determined it was triggered accidentally.
