Gustine Fire Department

The Gustine Fire Department responded to 17 calls for service from Jan. 22 to Jan. 29. The calls included 10 calls for Emergency Medical Services, two residential structure fires, two commercial vehicle fires, one hazmat call, and two vehicle collisions, including one with a pin-in.

Newman Fire Department

The Newman Fire Station responded to 17 calls for service from Jan. 23 to Jan. 30. The calls included 10 for Emergency Medical Services, one vehicle fire, three fire alarm calls, one public assist, one mutual aid and one hazmat call.

On January 26, at 4:47 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for mutual aid to assist with the Fire Investigation Unit for a working structure fire. On arrival, the fire investigator conducted their origin and cause investigation.

On January 27, at 17:48 hours, the Newman Station was dispatched for a fire alarm in the area of Inyo Avenue and Upper Road. Upon arrival, the fire crew found a smoke alarm sounding, with no visible fire. The fire crew then investigated and found that it was caused by cooking. There are no damages or injuries to report.
